Coronavirus / COVID-19!
Note: Social distancing is NOT required for private tour groups.
Note2: My Chauffeur does not use coronavirus tracking platforms (contact tracing). Your rides are private. Whether these tracking platforms are beneficial to you or not, is not for us to say. This is simply a notice that we (and services like ours) do not use them. Learn more
The health and safety of our guests and employees is our top priority. As we begin to resume tour operations we are following rigid health and sanitizing practices.
We are actively following the guidance of Government officials and the
World Health Organization (WHO) to help ensure the actions we are taking are in line with the latest recommendations.
Currently, any tours from Portland will run as planned. However, we understand that many
guests will be unable to travel or will need to reschedule their trips.
What is our Cancellation policy?
Our official cancellation policy for 2020 has been that tours are non-refundable. However, in these
unprecedented times, we’d like to offer you a completely refundable tour with just a 3-hour requirement. We are also happy for you to gift this to a friend.
Please email us at admin@tourportland.com if you need to postpone your trip.
My Chauffeur remains open for business, travel is not restricted and, according to authorities, the risk of exposure in Portland is still relatively low. My Chauffeur will continue monitoring developments, posting here and communicating with clients whose activities may be disrupted. We will follow all guidance from local, state and national public health officials.

Currently (as of 4/25/20),
- Private tour groups (single party groups) are NOT required to maintain social distancing within our vehicles. (NOTE: Please be aware that there may not be enough room inside the vehicle to maintain 6 feet space between members of a single group. But it's not required.)
- Public tour groups (mixed-group tours) (if applicable) are required to maintain social distancing inside our vehicles between groups (6 feet must be maintained at all times; however, members of the same group are exempt.) This social distancing requirement will determine minimum and maximum person requirements per vehicle. My Chauffeur is required to make sure public tour groups maintain 6 feet distance within our vehicles. However, we are not required to assign a designated person to do this; therefore, Participants will be required to self-regulate, and maintain their own social distancing.
- You voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. See disclaimer below.
- Face masks will be required for all participants inside our vehicles. Participants must supply their own masks. Your driver will be wearing a mask.
- If a credit card transaction is necessary on your trip date, guests will swipe their own payments cards, as they will no longer be handled by employees. Signatures will not be required.
- Drivers will be trained to pay attention to and to disinfect high-touch areas. When and where possible, seats, armrests and handles will be wiped down between stops. To the extent possible, we will provide hand sanitizer within our vehicles.
- Wineries, breweries, distilleries and other establishments will have their own COVID-19 requirements which may be the same or different than ours.
- Signatures on our Covid-19 Disclaimer/ Liability Release Form will be required.
- THANK YOU for supporting our business.
- "An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By using My Chauffeur services, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19."
During flu season and the potential Coronavirus pandemic, health departments are recommending:
- Avoiding groups of people (ie: mixed-group tours)
- Small and large groups are ALWAYS private unless requested otherwise. Reduce your risk by taking advantage of a private tour.
SAFETY STEPS:
Some safety steps we are taking to reduce risk are as follows:
Some safety steps we are taking to reduce risk are as follows:
- Require employees to stay home when sick.
- Employees are instructed to sneeze or cough into their shirt sleeve or disposable tissue - not their hands - and immediately dispose of tissue and wash hands.
- We will encourage everyone on the tour to sneeze or cough into their shirt sleeve or disposable tissue - not their hands - and immediately dispose of tissue and wash hands. Read this.
- Employees will frequently wash their hands.
- During and after your ride, follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidelines for proper hand-washing, which is the main way to prevent illness.
- We know that ventilation is very important. We recommend passengers and drivers open car windows when possible. That will help if there’s any virus particles. It’s more diluted and you’re exposed to less viral particles, if present.
- Employees are discouraged from handshaking. During any epidemic or pandemic, handshaking will be forbidden.
- Face masks are highly encouraged or mandatory to be worn or handy in case needed, depending on the severity of the disease outbreak. Your driver will be wearing a mask.
- For tours not in charter buses; alcohol wipes on surfaces people typically touch, WILL take place before and during your tour in all My Chauffeur vehicles.
- To the extent possible, disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer will be available to you during your tour.
