Durant Vineyards / Red Ridge Farms -- 503-864-8502 $15-$20
For more than 40 years, their history here in the Willamette Valley—now spanning 5 generations—began with English Walnuts, Hazelnuts, Italian Prunes, and Cherries. In 1973 their family was among the first in Oregon to attempt growing wine grapes. Always vineyard designated and never blended, their wines reflect the true nature of each vintage, the unique terroir (tehr-wahr) of the Dundee Hills and their family’s meticulous farming methods.
They offer 3 different tasting flights: ($15 pp, $20 pp or $65 pp tasting fee; )
In keeping with their spirit as a pioneer, they planted olives in 2004, establishing one of the first orchards in Oregon at Red Ridge Farms. With the first, and only commercial olive mill in Oregon, they are able to handcraft signature olive oils with their own distinctive aromas and flavors. While honoring the old world tradition of olive oil production, they believe in the potential for creating unique, world class olive oils right here in Oregon. They offer Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, tours and snack plates*. They also have a B&B on site.
