BIG TABLE FARM is making enormous noise here in Oregon with Brian Marcy the winemaker and his wife Clare making the beautiful labels. They produce extremely small productions from their 1970s organic and bio-dynamic vineyards (the oldest in Oregon). Speaking of their labels, each one is hand-made individually by the winemaking team. While very labor-intensive, this makes for an elegant package befitting its contents. The art is drawn by Clare and are inspired by their life here at Big Table Farm often featuring a food product or animal from the farm. You can count on the label art being as unique as each vintage of wine. Goatio, the amiable black-and-white goat roams the grounds outfitted with a red collar and bell. Clare also keeps two draft horses (Hummer and Houston) to help plow the fields.
They produce Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Rose, Syrah and edelzwicker, a blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and a little bit of Sylvaner.

"Thank you for reaching out to us at big table farm - although sept - oct is a beautiful time in the valley it's harvest for us and I try to push off hosting until after we are done making wine as it's all hands on deck this time of year... ( I will offer one appt a few days a week during harvest at 1pm) Unlike many traditional tastings the big table farm experience is a more intimate setting rather than a traditional tasting room, you are personally welcomed and hosted by me here in our historic farm house. We will share our current release wines during the hour. We don't charge for the tasting but given the large demand for the limited number of appointments we offer, I ask for an intention to purchase with a case minimum. As an alternative we do open our doors to the general public twice a year, during the Thanksgiving and Memorial Day weekends, for a more casual style tasting event. You are also welcome to order wines directly on the web site www.bigtablefarm.com. Let me know if you would like to set up an appointment and I will circle back as soon as possible."
