Here at Cathedral Ridge you can experience the Gorge AVAs Big Red French, Italian and Spanish varietals in a wine glass. All of their red wines are sourced in the Columbia Valley AVA in eastern Washington and all their white wines (Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling & more) in the Columbia R. Gorge AVA, and most of them being award-winning wines.
Michael Sebastiani, a 4th generation winemaker of the famed Sebastiani family in Sonoma County, is their master winemaker and is brilliant with blends. Blends are wines which are less tannic and austere and more mellow, approachable and food-oriented than the non-blended wines.
They have a nice park like setting on the outside with picnic tables and benches overlooking the Gorge and vineyard. The winery is named after a rock formation on Mt. Hood called "Cathedral Ridge". Farming about 12 acres, they were established in 2003 and produce about 600 cases annually. They offer about 20 varietals ranging from $15-$35, specializing in Syrah and Cabernet.
$15 tasting fee and $5 refunded for every bottle of wine that you buy.
