At Hood Crest Winery it’s all about the reds, the whites and the blues (flights + music). Winemakers and blues recording artists Tess and Patrik Barr have been making music and wine together since the 80’s. Join them on Saturday afternoons for live music by The Tess Barr Band 3:00 to 5:30! This “secret winery” does everything from crush to bottle on premises, and focuses on boutique BIG RED varieties from the Columbia Valley such as Merlot, Malbec, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and red blends. They also make Gorge Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Riesling. And they offer amazing gourmet, estate farm-to-table handmade pizzas. The secret is out! Now with dozens of awards and a stunning new tasting room, Hood Crest Winery is a must see Hood River Valley. Deposit: Always required on food for larger groups and always on 'closed' days. 100% of food; 1/2 of the tasting on 'closed days'. Hood Crest winery owner Tess Barr is set to release her seventh recording sometime this summer, produced by the legendary Ron Nevison, who has recorded The Who, Led Zeppelin, Heart, Jefferson Airplane and many more famous artists. With a bucket list of famous studio musicians backing her up, Tess delivers her blues sound with 12 originals and a cover of Robert Plant’s “Little By Little.” How can you hear it now?
