Purchase "requested" wineries:

Some boutique wineries (below) do not charge a tasting fee. Instead, due to the personally-guided tastings at these small wineries, each guest is requested to purchase a minimum purchase, typically 3 bottles.
As a side3 note, we feel this is not such a bad idea to the guest. For about the same price, one gets a full bottle of (I am sure very enjoyable wine) instead of 3 to 4 (2-3 ounce) pours in a typical tasting.
