Wine Country One & Two Day Tour Day One Sample Itinerary - Times Approximate |
|
10:30 - 11:30AM |
Pick-up
for your Wine Country tour at your downtown Portland hotel or wine country
area. Head south on U.S. 5 to the first winery stop in the
Newberg/Dundee Region of Yamhill County, the birthplace of Oregon's wine
industry. |
11:15 - 12:00PM |
Arrive
at your first winery stop and enjoy tasting a variety of Oregon Wines at Rex
Hill, 4 Graces, Argyle or another Yamhill County winery. And stroll the
grounds and take some pictures among the vines. |
11:45 - 2:30 PM |
Pick
up our picnic lunch in downtown Newberg or Dundee. Continue on your wine tour
with approximately 2-4 more wineries. |
3:30 - 4:00PM |
Check
into your hotel, drop off your bags and relax for the afternoon at the hotel
pool, spa or bar or just take a walk and enjoy the rest of the day on your
own with another wine stop at one of the various wine tasting rooms
in the old town McMinnville area. Wine bars and restaurants galore line Third
Street, but the town's charm is as much on display at Serendipity Ice Cream
as at any wine dispensary. The same goes for La Bella Casa, Ranch Records,
Currents Gallery or Mes Amies.

Evening |
You
can stay out late, because you don’t have to commute. Stores and restaurants
are open “late”, but check times to make sure. Get a good night’s sleep so
you can start refreshed the next day. |

gallery downtown, with affordable local art in a variety of media. Third

of Oregon pinot noir: a Beatles' "Love Me Do" single for $250. |
