St. Innocent
Mark Vlossak has been thinking about wine for most of his life. The owner and winemaker of St. Innocent Winery began learning about wine with his father at a very young age. Making wine in the Willamette Valley since the 1980s, he views wine as an integral part of a meal, and strives to build a core of flavor through texture. Learn what it takes to grow and craft premium Pinot Noir in the Willamette Valley.
They produce the 3 Pinots (Noir, Gris & Blanc), Chardonnay & Sparkling Wine; producing about 10,000 cases a year. They practice sustainable, organic and biodynamic farming and access fruit from vineyards employing all of these techniques.
St. Innocent's Estate Vineyard is Zenith Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA of the northern Willamette Valley.
If you have the good fortune of sitting down with owner/winemaker Mark Vlossak, you will leave with a wealth of knowledge that will tie all the bullet-points you have collected together in a neat package. He shared a cohesive, personal story of the history of the winery along with a tasting of all the wines available that day. You must write to them ahead of time to receive a special visit.
