Cristom
Cristom Vineyards is a place where science and tradition intersect. In this video (below) you'll be face-to-face with Cristom's winemaker Steve Doerner, and learn about the old world techniques behind his premium Pinot Noir. Steve also gives a great overview of Cristom's climactic and geographical influences, and explains why wine grapes develop best in marginal climates. This is an opportunity to hear from a star in the Willamette Valley winemaking scene. Five minutes of "Cristom Vineyards" and you will most certainly be sipping smarter.
Produced since 1994, their Mt Jefferson Cuvée is a testament to winemaker Steve Doerner’s skill. Boasting a blend of fruit from several estate vineyards (most with stellar views of the titular peak), the vintages are bright and light with aromas of cranberry, pie cherries, and a touch of cinnamon.
They produce single vineyard Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir Cuvée (a blending), as well as Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Viognier (Vî-on-Yeh) and estate Syrah. Cristom was the first winery in the valley to plant Viognier.
Both their estate vineyards and winery are certified LIVE.
