The Hood River hotel dates back to 1888.

• Lyle Hotel (pictured right) - If you want to eat dinner in a historic railroad hotel built in 1905 or if you want to stay overnight, the Lyle Hotel in Lyle, Washington, is the place for you. It's a little ways from Hood River (about 10 miles), but the dining room is very pleasant indeed; the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful; and the food is way above average.
