Portland Metro Wineries & Wine Bars (ALPHABETICAL)
  1. Boedecker cellars  (NW Industrial)
This small "tasting room is très chic minimalism," according to Deanna N, who has "been a fan of the Boedecker's since they were in Carlton." Stop in for Portland wines made with grapes from just down in the valley. YELP

    2621 NW 30th Ave
    Portland, OR 97210

    Sat - Sun 11-5
  2. Bow & Arrow  Appt
Located in a neon-lit cavern in the basement of an office building in the Kerns neighborhood. They exclusively make cool-climate wines with fruit from the Willamette Valley, including gamay noir and gamay nouveau.  The winery does not plan to operate a full scale tasting room: "I want to make wine, man, I don't want to sell fleece vests."  Open by appt only.
3115 NE Sandy Blvd. (inside the Bindery) - Bow & Arrow's Scott Frank Came to Wine After Hitting Bottom
  3. Cooper's Hall
Imagine if an upscale brewpub dedicated 44 taps to kegged wine instead of beer, and you’ll have an idea of what it’s like enjoying a glass of Oregon wine in Coopers Hall, a spacious wine bar that recently opened to an up-and-coming industrial neighborhood in Portland’s Central Eastside. 4. Cyril's at Clay Pigeon Winery (Buckman)
If you like both the tasting room and wine bar experience in one, this is your place. Ghassan A confirms that "amazing wine is being made on the premises and the cheese selection is impeccable." Sounds pretty fly! YELP
    815 SE Oak St
    Portland, OR 97214

    Tuesday - Thursday 11:30-9p

    Closed Sundays
  5. Enso (Buckman)
"The future of wine is being ushered in by Enso," declares Chris S, "and it's a glorious thing. They've done away with the pretentiousness. It feels like a stripped down coffee shop in a large garage. They have a delicious red blend, and a few great traditional varietals." Enso it goes. YELP

    1416 SE Stark St
    Portland, OR 97214

    Open 7 days a week.
  6. Grochau Cellars     Appt.  (Ŧħ-Mém)  ŦŘ
    2621 NW 30TH AVE.
    503.552.2455
  7. Hip Chicks Do Wine  ŦŘ βŘ 4510 SE 23rd Ave.  503.234.3790  11am - 6pm daily
  8. Jan-Marc Wine Cellars (Overlook)  Appt   Jan-Marc Baker's cellars are actually a garage in their Overlook neighborhood home. "...but if your just wanting to try a glass your best bet is Remedy Wine Bar in the Pearl." Bursting with plummy richness, their merlot will make you forget what you thought you knew about merlot. Sourced from old vines near The Dalles in the Columbia River Gorge, this is a truly small-production find: just about 30 cases are bottled in Jan-Marc and Barbara Baker’s “two-car winery” in North Portland.  2110 N. Ainsworth st.  503.341.4531
  9. Seven Bridges Winery  βŘ   2303 N. Harding Ave. (under the Fremont bridge) 503.203.2583 Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5
  10. Teutonic Wine Company (German Style Wines)
    3303 SE 20th Ave., Portland
    (503) 235-5053
    Open 7 days a week.
Teutonic's Barnaby Tuttle Went From Black Sabbath Hesher to Punk Rock Wine
  11. Viola Wines  Appt
They'll do tasting by appointment for groups, otherwise you'll just have to buy a bottle to go.
    2901 NE Alberta St.
    503.281.2675
  12. Zilla Sake (Sake & Sushi Bar) - This Alberta Arts District sushi mainstay boasts one of the city’s largest sake selections--from Oregon’s own Sake One to Hokkaido’s rarest daiginjos. The intimate, dimly-lit shotgun space (booths line one side, a chef’s counter on the other) offers up-close-and-personal views of the chefs at work. Zilla specializes in sashimi and nigiri sourced from small local purveyors--think Southern Oregon sea urchin and Long Beach gaper clams--along with weekly specials informed by a special overnight delivery direct from Tokyo’s Tsukiji Fish Market.  Portland Monthly - 1806 NE Alberta St. Portland, OR  503-288-8372
  13. SE Wine Collective (Richmond)
Home to four different urban wineries, this tasting room has a "gorgeous, bright, rustic-modern (if that's a thing) feel and uber friendly staff" for Jen D's tasting pleasure. "Craft your own flight, or pick a pre-selected one" and get the wine country experience right in SE! YELP
